Valley Voices
A Cappella Group
The Valley Voices are a student a cappella group directed by Chelsea Carlson, featuring Ella, Izzy, Grace, Catherine, and Lauren. An a cappella group is a small vocal group, in which a soloist sings the lead vocal of a song and the other singers provide a musical backdrop – taking place of instruments with their voices.
Formed in the spring of 2016, the Valley Voices have already had successful performances at the Morris County 4H Fair and the Califon Street Fair. They are currently slated for their for radio appearance on Asbury Park Radio in June 2017. The group features singers ages 13-15 and covers a wide range of music including songs by Sia, Sam Smith, the Beatles, Melanie Martinez, 21 Pilots, and more.
While initially started as a class, the Valley Voices has evolved into a more permanent group with fixed members. As a result, we do not add new members regularly. As of April 2017, our only open position is for a skilled beatboxer. Updates will be made if we are looking to add more members to the group, and potential new members will have to audition.
